Alden Schutte
Some of my paintings
have a specific orientation while others attempt
to convey a feeling, mood or sense of energy.
I work from every angle on a painting using a combination
of acrylic colors, various textures and imagination to develop
artwork that is fluid and charged with emotional energy.
As I paint I am always looking for the right
balance between enough information and too much.
I’m also very careful not to over work or belabor a painting,
as it can become the difference between the development
of a fluid and compelling composition versus a painting
that seems stiff and lacking in spontaneity.
While looking at my paintings it is my hope that a
person’s own imagination comes alive and the observer will
have a different experience every time they view it.
