My fifth grade teacher, Mrs. Mac, saw that I had a special talent. She encouraged my parents to develop my artistic ability by taking classes with a local art instructor at the University of Memphis. This did not happen for various reasons.
It was not until many years later that I decided to investigate my artistic abilities and began practicing various art mediums. Art is a journey of experimentation, expression, and imagination. It took several years before I found a style of painting that best describes me: abstract expressionism, with a touch of impressionism. As an artist, your pursuit of the perfect masterpiece is never ending. When a piece of art is completed and you have achieved a desired result, it becomes your "AH HA" moment.
My work can be seen in the CoCo Art Gallery, in Coconut Point Shopping Center, Estero, Florida.
