Lisbeth Ascanio

Lisbeth Ascanio is an abstract/figurative artist and fashion designer as well. She was born in Caracas, Venezuela. From an early age, she made her first steps in art and music, influenced by her older brother, Rodolfo, who is also an artist. That artistic influence has always been present in her life. At the age of 7, she could draw portraits accurately. This skill she has been transforming to create her style. That connection with art led her to study Fashion Design at the Las Mercedes Design Academy in her hometown. In these studies, she reinforced her pictorial skills oriented toward fashion. She then created her own company and produced casual clothing under her Avangard brand for 31 consecutive years, a task that gave her great satisfaction. However, she always had a latent need to express herself through painting. In 2018, she resumed her passion for painting, and since she has focused on promoting her artistic career, participating in numerous exhibitions both in Venezuela and in the United States. In 2021, she emigrated to the United States, looking for a new beginning due to the deteriorated political, economic, and social situation in her native country. She currently lives and works as an artist in Cape Coral, Florida.
