Mooneen Mourad
Mooneen Mourad recently relocated to Bonita Springs in 2021 from Naperville Illinois and Santa Barbara California still continuing a presence in Illinois. Mooneen has received awards and sales already at the Center for the arts Bonita Springs where she holds a membership.
Mooneen is especially known for her art depicting imagination in the subjects of Women's faces, florals, angels, reindeer both in paint and in ceramic art and jewelry. Mooneen creates art daily and in a variety of art forms and media including photography, ceramic, painting and jewelry, both functional and decorative, representational and abstract.
She is known for her sense of beauty, design, color, textures, and surprising originality and creativity. She is especially interested in how her artwork enhances and promotes an emotional response in the viewer.
Mooneen holds an undergraduate degree from Kent State in both Art and Education and a masters degree in from Case Western Reserve University in the mental health and chemical dependency fields. She has received awards and recognition in all fields of her art work in every place she has lived. Mooneen has art in collections in the United States and other countries.
She is a resident artist in ClaySpace Life Illinois and a member of Naperville Art League, Dupage Art League and Santa Barbara Art Association and other art memberships. She has been a professional speaker and a docent at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and currently is a docent at the Baker Art Museum, Naples, Florida.
