Shirley Hales

​A professional artist since 2001, Shirley is proficient in numerous art mediums but her medium of choice is watercolor.  Her preferred subjects express her enjoyment of nature and passion for artistic realism.

Shirley is the Founder of Harbour View Gallery, Cape Coral, FL, a member of COCO Gallery (Bonita Springs, FL), and is active in several artists’ organizations in Maryland.

She is a 2010 nominee for Southwest Florida Angels of the Arts, Arts Organization Leader of the Year Award. She spearheaded the first “Paint the Cape” plein air competition and exhibition and was selected for the 2013 Alliance of the Arts Artists’ Studio Tour. In 2018, she participated as a juried artist in the prestigious Plein Air Easton Local Color exhibition in Easton, Maryland.

Shirley is a teaching artist at the Alliance for the Arts, Fort Myers, FL and for Women of Watercolor, Naples, FL.
