Tracy Owen-Cullimore
Tracy Owen-Cullimore loves her “job”, and can’t wait to get to work in the morning, or the wee hours of the night. She paints in both water media and oil, specializing in figurative work and portraits of animals and people, and she happily does custom commission work.
She says she knows she has succeeded in getting that something extra- the emotional nuance when her clients get tears in their eyes. Tracy laughingly says, “I like to make my clients cry .” A graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Art History and Economics. Her credentials include extensive formal training in Advertising and Graphic Design as well as the traditional fine arts. Tracy is a Signature Member of the Florida Watercolor Society, a member and supporter of Arts for ACT, the Hirdie Girdie Art Gallery on Sanibel Island, COCO Art Gallery in Estero, the American Impressionists Society, Fort Myers Beach Art Association, the Portrait and Figure Painters Society of SW Florida and Sanibel/Captiva Art League. She has studied under master instructors CW Mundy, Quang Ho, Carolyn Anderson, Charles Milano, as well as many acclaimed watercolorists including Vlad Yeliseyev and Karen Knutson. Tracy enjoys teaching intermediate and advanced students in oil and is continually raising her own standards through education and competition. She has won many awards at local and state levels. Her work is private collections throughout the United States and Canada. “Painting more than just a likeness, by seeing with my heart.” Tracy Owen-Cullimore |
