Resa Abbey has been photographing lifestyle for over thirty years. Having achieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts with concentration in photography, mastered still life, silver printing and composition expertise through medium format. Her profession began a commercial studio portrait photographer and location commissioned creative.
Having artist parents, Resa gained inspiration through her Pacific Islander Mother, a Matriarch who practiced the living art and balance of Ikebana and fresh seasonal ingredients desired in culinary Woshoku, and her Father, a hobbyist film maker and photographer.
With a voracious love of art history, ballroom and the perfoming arts, Resa found enthusiasm in the pivot towards her own personal expression of art in the energy of reflection and landscape. She considers herself a minimalist, where fusion of light is the subject to provoke the authentic life force in there images bringing excitement, curiosity and the capture of what she calls the moment of grace.
