Acrylic

Bettina Kochinke

Born in Germany and now based between Bonita Springs and Park City, I come from a family deeply rooted in artistic expression. My own creative journey has been one of constant evolution — a metamorphosis through mediums, techniques, and forms of expression.
After years of exploring watercolor and pastel, I refined my classical training at Linda Schroeter Atelier of Fine Art in California’s wine country where I studied traditional still life oil painting in the Old Master style. While that discipline taught me precision and control, my work eventually evolved toward the freedom and spontaneity of acrylic fluid art.
Today, I embrace an intuitive process, allowing the movement of paint and resin, inspirational messaging and collages, to guide the composition. Through layers of color, texture, and motion, I create works that respond to the spaces they inhabit — pieces that can soothe and harmonize or energize and provoke. Each painting is an exploration of mood, emotion, and atmosphere, shaped by the organic flow and manipulation of the medium itself.
Fluid art allows me to merge spontaneity with intention, creating contemporary abstract works designed to bring depth, movement, and individuality into personal interiors.
